Smoking – How To Quit Smoking The Easiest Way

I discovered that with smoking, how to quit cigarettes is not actually about quitting nicotine addiction, it’s really about empowering your state of mind:

After countless attempts of trying to quit smoking, I never succeeded to stop for more than a few weeks at best. That was until I discovered the hidden power of the mind to quit smoking forever and take charge my life again.

I am just an “average” working woman, sister, auntie, and mother. I have two loving sons that have naturally, always been on my back about smoking. How to quit smoking cigarettes was actually more difficult to do because of them. I’m sure you have experienced complaints and encouragement from your loved ones, too. Sadly, I think the constant reminders from concerned family members actually made it more difficult for me to quit smoking, than at times when they left me be. No-one likes being told what to do, do they? And no-one likes the pressure.

In between the constant reminders to stop smoking cigarettes, when I had time to reflect on my bad habit, I spent a lot of time looking for other alternatives to quitting smoking. How to quit smoking cigarettes became difficult because basically I’d tried using nicotine replacement patches, nicotine gum and sheer blind will power on so many occasions that I’ve lost count. And all to no avail. Remaining smoke-free never lasted for more than a few weeks. I’m sure you know how that feels.

I thought to myself, “how can I stop smoking? How to quit? It seems entirely impossible! I’ve tried everything already, and nothing has worked?”

Luckily, I never got any serious problems from smoking, except I was getting sick at least once a year with bronchitis. My doctor told me for years, if I didn’t stop smoking it might become chronic. I never listened, until I started to notice that the last time I had been sick, it was lingering on longer than usual. I was still coughing after 4 weeks of getting sick. It wasn’t really bad, but it made me more aware that smoking was affecting my health. I thought it was time to really do something about it.

By this time I’d read several books on quitting smoking. How to quit cigarettes with these seemed to be  a complete waste of time. Given my scepticism of the money-driven drug companies, I started stumbling around on the internet for help. Needless to say, I didn’t find much help. Well, not at first. (More on that in a minute). At the time, all I discovered were sales pitches for patches, pills and electric smoking gadgets.

After losing faith in the Internet to give me solutions, I even tried calling Quitline. Not surprisingly, I didn’t find that helpful either. I thought to myself, “How can I stop smoking? How to quit? It seems entirely impossible! I’ve tried everything already, and nothing has worked?” I was getting fed up – I was almost about to quit quitting!
